Blessed.
This year is rapidly coming to a close. Its bittersweet. PCA is my second home, I’ve spent most of 13 years there.
But now is not the time to be emotional :D I’ll save that for Grad. Parties.
I just wanted to take this time to say that God has incredibly blessed me. Everyday I get to walk the halls, it doesn’t matter where I’m going, I’ll talk to at least a half dozen people. I stop and talk...

I don’t know how to explain to you my feelings.
Today marks the one year anniversary of the Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan.
Watching the footage is heartbreaking. Watching the actual tsunami is hard, but whats hardest is seeing the faces, hearing the voices of those that lived through it. Those who watched people die right infront of them. Most likely, none of the people that died knew...

Today I listened to a wonderful message about sacrifice.
I know what your thinking. Sacrifice? Not another one of these things.
But its important.
One of the nice things about being on vacation in Florida is that I get a break from regular routine and we go to a church down here that I absolutely love! (No worries I still love my church at home too!) The message is always really great and...
Remain.
Today in chapel we sang One Thing Remains, I had never herd the song before but it struck me in a few difference ways…
Below is the lyrics to the song, what we cry out to God. Absolutely beautiful.

People.
“These people make their own good and worship what they make.” Isaiah 2:8 (MES)
You probably already know, but I’m super passionate about Japan. The one thing that I can never get over is idol worship. Japan is mainly Buddhist (“the living”) and Shinto (praying to your ancestors or “the dead”) religions. Idols can be found almost every street corner with...
Daddy's.
I’m not going to lie to you.
Its hard to hold back tears when someone else says they got the part you so badly wanted.
To hear them talk about it.
People asking you what you got.
I thought I had gotten it… I got cocky thinking I had it in reach.
Ya I cried, but I had it out all before I got home. I could tell my parents without shedding another tear. Then dad brings it up at...

DailyReflections - Esther Chapter 1
YAY I absolutely love the book os Esther!!! I’m going through it with my niece so this would be really cool! Maybe all edit notes after we talk over it too! I’m really excited to hear what she has to say.
-With Ester I will be pulling out specific verses and talking about them, its story format so talking about each section wouldn’t be as meaningful.

Verse 12

DailyReflections - Ecclesiastes Chapter 12
This is the last chapter in Ecclesiastes! A great one too!
Verses 1-8
Great review of chapter 11, again Solomon is talking about enjoying life as God commands. But, if you decided to “live life to the fullest” God is still going to be there at the end - He will judge.
Verses 9 & 10
These verses are talking about the wisdom of Jesus. He is there perfect example for us and then...

DailyReflections - Ecclesiastes Chapter 11
Haha yay second post for the day :D hopefully this isn’t overload :) This one kind of goes back to individual verses, but there aren’t many.
Verse 2
What is something your parents have taught you ever since you were young? does sharing come to mind? In verse two it talks about saving things up for yourself, does that ever help? if you share you things, there is promise of reward!...

DailyReflections - Ecclesiastes Chapter 10
Sorry about not posting yesterday! Stressful homework day!
Verses 1-4
I never thought about it like this but apparently even the smallest bit of foolishness ruins wisdom. Foolish by definition means: lacking in sense, judgement, or discretion (judgement), absurd, ridiculous, marked by loss of composure. Wow, all those things I do daily, and all those things are taking away from my wisdom. Thats...

DailyReflections - Ecclesiastes Chapter 9
First day back at school! Trying to keep up with quiet time and everything, so far, so good!
Verses 1-3
Most people think: “as long as I’m good God won’t judge me”. Well I’m sorry to burst your bubble… but God will still judge. No matter good, bad, Christian, Muslim, Postmodern, we ALL will be judged according to our lives. The only way to seek shelter and...

DailyReflections - Ecclesiastes Chapter 8
Happy Monday!!!!
Verses 2-7
This sections was about serving! I love to serve and I love to serve with other people! Its fun to learn about those you are serving and their stories and to experience new things! When we are serving we need to seek to serve those people not ourselves. I know sometimes I get so wrapped up in a state of mind thinking “ya it is nice I’m serving...

DailyReflections - Ecclesiastes Chapter 7
This chapter was interesting but hard to wrap my mind around, still learning!
Verses 1-10:
These verses are talking about death, your ending. We want to be remembered by out good things. But people look at your whole life not just the good points. So our whole lives should be reflecting God in everything we do. This way we can be remembered by our lives and living out ever second for our...

DailyReflections - Ecclesiastes Chapter 5 & 6
So sorry I didn’t post yesterday :) I had a friend over :D However, I did do chapter 5 yesterday and 6 today. I have also decided that DailyReflections should be shorter. I know most people don’t like reading paragraphs, but this is just another way to get my thoughts out :D I’m not expecting people to read every single one. Anyways I’ll just do summaries of the chapters...

“Next I turned my attention to all the outrageous violence that takes plane on this planet - the tears of the victims, no one to comfort them; the iron grip of oppressors, no one to rescue the victims from them.” Sometime I’m appalled when I watch the news with my parents. Every day rape, murder, shooting, kidnapping, violence, SIN....

DailyReflections - Ecclesiastes Intro & Chapter 1
So I was unsure of what I wanted to study next, all I knew is I wanted to read something in the Old Testament and something besides Psalm and Proverbs (don’t get me wrong I love both of those chapters but I wanted something I hadn’t read yet). I was browsing through the OT and I noticed there were a lot towards the end I’ve never taken the time to read. I got started on a year...

DailyReflections - Intro.
Alright everyone I’m starting a series of Blog posts. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep up with them and everything. I’ll run a trial and see how its goes. Basically I’ve wanted to make my quiet time more meaningful. Then only way I’ve found that successful is by diving into the Word. I’m going to start out with Ephesians. No specific reason, except that when I...

Half Way There.
Hello. I know its been awhile that I haven’t blogged… but hey I never find time, or when I have time I don’t want to write. But I’m here now! So I have officially, as of this morning around 9:10am I finished my first semester of Senior Year. Only one semester left of my High School Carrier. Its bitter sweet really, leaving a school I’m a “lifer” at and...
